HTML5 - Part 1 - Getting started Experience

HTML5 has recently made a lot of noise on the web and is a major step in web-page development.

I thought it wise to do a little bit of research and getting to know what all the fuss is about.

This is my experience....

To get started I would recommend that you download  Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 trial version. Dreamweaver CS5.5 incorporates native support for both HTML5 structural elements and many CSS3 properties.

Once installed, click "Learn to use HTML5" to get started.

From this site you can learn the basics about HTML5 and get started with the tutorials.

I started with Part 1: Building the web page.

You start by downloading the sample files and extracting the files.
Open Dreamweaver and follow the instructions in the tutorial.

I must say that I am someone who has no knowledge of HTML, CSS or Dreamweaver and so-far I am finding this easy enough for anyone who can read.

This is what I have done so far.

Dreamweaver makes the development and learning easy enough. I am sure that working with this on a day to day basis will enable you to be an expert with HTML5 in no time.

I am quite enjoying learning a new skill today and hope that it will stick.

Look out for the followup Part2 and 3.
